Cancellation:
Once contracts are agreed and/or signed you are making an agreement that work will go ahead on the dates agreed, payments will be made as agreed and time will be booked out in my diary for this work to proceed. We will only start work once you have agreed either verbally and or in writing/email/text. We will refer you to our cancellation information and ask that you read and fully understand the following information in full:
The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 - You will have a 14 day cooling off period; For full information please see https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/getting-home-improvements-done/cancelling-building-or-decorating-work/.
Your cancellation rights after the ‘cooling-off’ period are the same as if you’d arranged the work while on the business’s premises.
We do not offer a cooling off period for items which have been specially made - for example, made to measure items or if we have been asked into your home for urgent repairs or maintanace.
Your cooling-off period will begin the day after you give the go-ahead for the work to be done. Cancelling if the work’s not started yet: You can cancel if we have not started the work and you’re still within the 14 day cooling-off period - you may be charged a cancellation fee (Please see below cancellation charges).
Cancelling if the work’s started; If you asked for the service to be provided during the cooling-off period, you’ll have to pay a part of the agreed price. The amount will depend on how much was completed when you asked to cancel. (Please see below cancellation charges).
Our terms/cancellation charges:
If for whatever reason you decide not to go ahead once our contract has been agreed, you will be breaking the agreement therefore the following charges will apply;
Before work has started: A 5% cancellation charge (5% of the total labour costs) – this will be payable immediately to Taylor Made 2 U Construction for loss of profit caused by the cancellation.
After work has started: If you decide to cancel a job after contracts are signed and work has already begun, you will be charged for the following: 5% cancellation fee (5% of the total labour cost) to be paid to Taylor Made 2 U Construction plus labour costs up until the time you cancel. You may be charged for any items installed or fitted that can’t be removed without damaging them and the return of any items that have been delivered but not installed (or can be easily uninstalled).
