Terms, Conditions and Cancellation Information

1

Guarantee:

You will benefit from a full guarantee on our workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion of the job outlined above.
Our guarantee covers all new work carried out by ourselves, providing that all future works and repairs are carried out by Taylor Made 2 U Construction.
In the event of a failure beyond the guarantee period we will be happy to investigate the cause and negotiate a solution to the problem without delay and carry out any agreed repairs as soon as possible. However please note; charges will apply for remedial work carried out beyond guarantee dates, or where further work and repairs have been carried out within the 12 months by another business or company.

• If whilst completing work we find unforeseen work which we advise needs completing to enable us to complete the original agreed work, we will raise this and discuss with you. If for whatever reason you decide not to take our advice to complete the unforeseen work, we may agree to complete the original work but inform you there will be no guarantee on this - this will need to be signed and agreed.

2

Quotation Agreement:

We will provide you with a quotation which will set out work to be carried out and a price plan.  You can confirm verbally you agree to the quote and terms, however we will also ask you to agree to the quotation and terms by emailing, texting or signing the contract.

If you change your mind about any aspect of the quote (before signing and agreeing to it) and would like any part of it changed, we may offer to re-quote for you however this will be chargeable at an hourly rate of £30 per hour.

Any unforeseen work, alteration or deviation from the quotation specification to be priced and agreed by both parties on site.

All Materials and goods supplied by Taylor Made 2 U Construction shall remain the property of Taylor Made 2 U Construction until work is completed, and the full invoice has been paid by the customer.

Cancellation:

Once contracts are agreed and/or signed you are making an agreement that work will go ahead on the dates agreed, payments will be made as agreed and time will be booked out in my diary for this work to proceed. We will only start work once you have agreed either verbally and or in writing/email/text.  We will refer you to our cancellation information and ask that you read and fully understand the following information in full:

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 - You will have a 14 day cooling off period; For full information please see https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/getting-home-improvements-done/cancelling-building-or-decorating-work/.

Your cancellation rights after the ‘cooling-off’ period are the same as if you’d arranged the work while on the business’s premises.

We do not offer a cooling off period for items which have been specially made - for example, made to measure items or if we have been asked into your home for urgent repairs or maintanace.

Your cooling-off period will begin the day after you give the go-ahead for the work to be done.  Cancelling if the work’s not started yet: You can cancel if we have not started the work and you’re still within the 14 day cooling-off period - you may be charged a cancellation fee (Please see below cancellation charges).

Cancelling if the work’s started; If you asked for the service to be provided during the cooling-off period, you’ll have to pay a part of the agreed price. The amount will depend on how much was completed when you asked to cancel.  (Please see below cancellation charges).

Our terms/cancellation charges:
If for whatever reason you decide not to go ahead once our contract has been agreed, you will be breaking the agreement therefore the following charges will apply;

Before work has started: A 5% cancellation charge (5% of the total labour costs) – this will be payable immediately to Taylor Made 2 U Construction for loss of profit caused by the cancellation.

After work has started: If you decide to cancel a job after contracts are signed and work has already begun, you will be charged for the following: 5% cancellation fee (5% of the total labour cost) to be paid to Taylor Made 2 U Construction plus labour costs up until the time you cancel. You may be charged for any items installed or fitted that can’t be removed without damaging them and the return of any items that have been delivered but not installed (or can be easily uninstalled).
